The Yorkshire Coast - things to do further afield

If you want to explore beyond Staithes, there is a whole host of beautiful places to discover along the Yorkshire Coast. Here's our list of places we love to visit.

Cleveland Way

This 109 mile trail offers dramatic coastal scenery and open moorlands, but you don’t have to do it all at once.

There are a number of shorter circular and 1 day walks to follow.

Start from Staithes on this 3 hour circular route climbing to the top of Boulby Cliffs. Alternatively head southbound from the village to Runswick Bay – a pleasant 4 mile circular route, or for real walking enthusiasts, why not walk the whole 10 miles to Whitby. This cliff top walk has some stunning views and there are regular buses back to Staithes.
